Jumbo Go Go Go

The Jumbo Go Go Go is one of the most adorable early childhood toys that I have ever had the fortune to run across. The Jumbo Go Go Go is recommended for children ages 5 mths - 3 yrs and weighs 6lbs. This adorable big red plush car is a great place for your little one to sit and watch their favorite tv shows as well as just a great place to stay busy while mom and dad get a little quiet time! This adorable plush car is brightly colored with red, purple, yellow and green dotted fabrics to keep your little one stimulated and even comes with a built in bottle holder on the right side! The car starts up with a plastic teething key and the dashboard of the car removes so it can be

taken on car trips for ride along fun! The dash board has it’s own horn as well! The car even includes a mesh "trunk" so favorite toys can be packed along for the ride and a rear view mirror gives baby a view of themselves in the driving seat! The Jumbo Go Go Go car requiers 3"AA" batteries which are included and measures 21½"l x 22"w x 8"h.

You can find the Jumbo Go Go Go car over at BackToBasicsToys.com. I have never seen anything like this one before so I wouldn’t know where to tell you to begin looking for it locally!

American Plastic Toys Creativity Desk and Easel

    September 25th, 2008 by admin
American Plastic Toys Creativity Desk and Easel

I am always keeping an eye out for cute, safe and practical children’s furniture because quite simply there is always a need for it. The American Plastic Toys Creativity Desk and Easel is a great example of a cute, safe and practical piece of children’s furniture if ever I saw one! Being that this desk is constructed out of sturdy plastic there is no need to worry about splintering and warping from wooden desks and it is colorful enough to brighten up any room! This desk also lifts it’s lid to become a painting easel which is perfect for the young artist in your family. The desk has side pockets which are great for holding paper and other art supplies while keeping

the workspace clear and tidy. The desk also features a drawer to keep pencils and other goodies in as well as pockets and storage on top of the desk. The Creativity desk also comes with a working overhead light which is a function not found on many children’s desks but comes in very handy to keep children from squinting in the dark! The desk set also comes with a clip to hold paper on the easel as well as a matching chair for the desk! The desk measures 32.5Hx34.75Wx21D" and requires 2 AA Batteries (not included.)

You can find the Creativity Desk and Easel over at Amazon.com! This one is sold by Target so if you’re lucky you’ll be able to find this one at your local Target store as well!

12” Raggedy Ann & Andy Box Set

      September 24th, 2008 by admin
12” Raggedy Ann & Andy Box Set

As a child I never was attracted to rag dolls, in fact dolls in general carry that stigma of being "creepy" for me; however, if I had to pick a doll that was the least fear inducing it would have to be Raggedy Ann or Raggedy Andy. The most famous ragdolls of all are now on sale together as a collectors set! Raggedy Ann was created in 1915 by John Gruelle and her brother Raggedy Andy was created five years later and they have both been favorites of kids everywhere ever since! These two adorable ragdolls make the perfect first dolls for children everywhere and they make the best gift for twins! Of course that isn’t to say that some grown ups out there wouldn’t get a kick

out of owning this gorgeous collector’s set of dolls too! This set comes with a 12" Raggedy Ann and a 12" Raggedy Andy as well as two certificates of authenticity so you know you’re not being sold a knock off ragdoll! This set is recommended for children ages 2yrs+ however until children hit that 2 yr mark they make great decor for the nursey when kept out of reach!

You can find the 12” Raggedy Ann & Andy Box Set over at BackToBasicsToys.com. I have seen Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy toys in other retail stores but I have never seen a collectors set of the two together elsewhere.

Scientific Explorer’s Disgusting Science - A Kit for Studying the Science of Revolting Things

        September 23rd, 2008 by admin
Scientific Explorer's Disgusting Science - A Kit for Studying the Science of Revolting Things

Getting kids interested in science isn’t always easy especially when they’re between the ages of 8 and 14 when they feel like they just have better things to do…like play video games! The Scientific Explorer’s Disgusting Science Kit is a great way to reel in those older kids who have no time for educational games. This kit presents the science of gross science and is sure to keep your older kids busy for quite a while. This is agreat kit for kids who can’t get enough of science as well including experiments on how to grow friendly molds and bacterium in perti dishes! The kit also includes things such as learning what "creatures" live on you, learning the science

behind passing gas and having stinky feet, mixing up batches of fake coagulating blood and making fake a intestine! Sure these things are also extremely gross to parents but they’re gross enough to keep those tweens busy with learning new facts while they play! This set is recommended for kids aged 8yrs+ since it includes experiments which may prove difficult for younger children. This is also a great set to use as a family!

You can find the Scientific Explorer’s Disgusting Science Kit over at Amazon.com! And if gross science isn’t your thing take a look around at the other Scientific Explorer sets they have in stock!

          Lionel Pedal Train

          September 22nd, 2008 by admin
          Lionel Pedal Train

Today’s toy review is going to be one of those ridiculously overpriced toys that I just couldn’t help sharing because it’s just so darn cool! The Lionel Pedal Train from Back to Basics Toys is a pedal train that looks so intricate and so real when compared to those steam engine trains that just about every kid out there would be screaming for one. Of course you need to have a spare $320 to grab your own pedal train and i’m not entirely sure how worth it it would be to drop $320 on a pedal train that can only hold your child for four years but hey, if you’ve got it, flaunt it right? The Lionel Pedal Train has all steel construction, adjustable pedals, a chrome bell, realistic train sounds, a

padded seat and a gorgeous paint job of orange and a purplish blue. It reminds me of the ride on rocket ships and trains you find outside big retail toy stores; however, without the germs and dirt you find on those community shared ride-on’s. The maximum capacity for the Lionel pedal train is 100lbs so no testing this one for mom and dad! The train requires 2 "AA" batteries, measures 16-19" from seat to pedal and is recommended for ages 2-6yrs. The actual train measures 46"l x 18"w x 25"h and weighs 39lbs.

You can find the Lionel Pedal Train over at BackToBasicsToys.com. I have never seen a pedal train before at any retail store so this is a first for me!
