Some of you may have noticed a slight change to the Holiday Extravaganza $500 Amazon.com gift certificate contest and some of you may not so I thought it best to create a new post addressing it.

Since so many people have commented about having little or nothing to give their children or families this Holiday season I have been trying to think up more ways to help provide something of a Christmas to more than just one of you. After thinking on it a while I decided to move around some advertising on my site and move two of my advertising boxes up to the very top of my site in the right hand column, these ad boxes are currently on sale for $5 / day per box.

ALL revenue generated from purchased ads in these two top spots will be pooled to create a second prize for one lucky commenter on the Holiday Extravaganza post. You will easily be able to keep track of ads purchased in these spots and I will also keep a running total of ads purchased in these spots so you can see the total for this wonderful second prize.

One winner for the ad revenue will be selected randomly at the same time as the Holiday Extravaganza winner.

The tricky part about this second prize is that it really depends on you guys to chip in to help a fellow reader or even yourself if you win! If no ad spots are purchased then obviously the second prize will be $0 which would be very unfortunate so if you have $5 to spare why not advertise your site and drop in and comment on the Holiday Extravaganza post to enter yourself in to win as well!

I really am depending on you all to help make this second prize something great, reading all of these stories of people unable to provide their family with a Christmas this year is just heart wrenching and in the grand scheme of things if everyone could donate $5 then one lucky family would have a heck of a Christmas this year!
