GET THAT BODY MOVING!
I would love to welcome all the new readers who have joined us since the last Kidazy contest and invite you all to join in on this one! Over the past few years I managed to lose an impossible…or at least what felt like an impossible 42lbs. The journey wasn’t an easy one but it became easier after I realized that exercise and eating right were the ONLY things that were going to shift that weight! I have now managed to keep that weight off for a year and in celebration I have decided to encourage you all to join me in the incredible feeling of fitness! For parents and children alike being overweight and unfit is simply a road which leads to health problems, low self esteem and low self confidence and so with this new year let us all resolve to become (or stay) as fit as we can and to help in that i’m giving away one Wii Fit bundle!!
The Prize: One Nintendo Wii Console WITH a Wii Fit (including balance board) AND a Wii 5-in-1 Fitness Bundle which includes a rechargeable battery pack, USB charging cable, jeli sleeve, fitness mat, travel bag, and 1 pair of textured foot socks.
Winners: There will be one winner drawn at random from those in the US/Canada who comment appropriately (unqualifying comments will simply be deleted as they hinder the process of drawing a winner so make sure you read the rules!)
How To Win: Comment on this post with your weight loss stories, fitness goals OR why this prize would be HELPFUL (NOT why you need/want it) to you and your family!
When: One winner will be drawn on my birthday, April 10th.
So what’re you waiting for? Let’s get moving!

I have gained 50 pounds over the last 10 years, and I really want to lose it. As I am a caregiver to a very sick, elderly woman, who lives with me, a mother of a 10 year old, and I work as a pharmacy technician 24 hours a week, I don’t have a lot of free time. Scratch that, I have NO free time. Also, I really cannot leave Donna alone more than I already am for the days I work in the pharmacy.
I have tried to do different exercise tapes and programs in the house before, but I have been unsucsessful. I have a hard time motivating myself to hurt for a skinny, buff little thing, or anyone else on a tape.
Which brings me to the wii. I have 2 friends who are in similar positions to mine, and who have been equally unsucsessful in the past. Both of them have purchased a wii, with the wi fit package, and both have been HUGELY successful in both losing weight, getting fit, and keeping the weight off. More importantly, they enjoy it, it changes, so it’s not like using the same tape over and over and over again. It changes, there are goals, challenges, and most importantly, no Bo Derek-like “10′s making them feel inferior! Plus it’s in the house, where I can still be available to Donna and Cassidy. Thanks for such a great opportunity! I hope I win it!
Hi, I had heard about the Wii Fit through advertising, but really never understood exactly what it was! Then, two of my friends received them for gifts. We would get together and they would discuss how they were succeeding with their Wii Fit goals! Since, I can’t do high impact exercises, ( need two knee replacements ), I would love to try this, so I could be more mobile. Please enter my name in your marvelous drawing.
Many thanks….. Cindi
I would love to loose 10 more lbs. I have been walking with my girls everyday and counting calories to reach my eight lose goal

My goal this year was to finally get in shape. I was well on my way – 15 pounds down – when we found out I was pregnant again. The Wii fitness program would help get me moving again after this birth and finally reach the goals I set back in Oct.
This would be helpful for me so I can tone up and lose weight. I hear everyone on facebook commenting about their Wii Fit and how great it is. I would love to have one! We have started walking 1-2 miles per day.

I want to win this so badly! My friend recently bought Wii Fit, and I got to try it out. It was SUCH a good workout. My arms were sore for days after using it. The reason that it would be helpful to have is because I live in an area that’s cold the majority of the year. I need to workout indoors, and I can’t afford a gym membership. This would be something I could use everyday. Great giveaway!
I’ve suffered from migraines for years. I finally started seeing a neurologist last year, who has worked wonders for my headaches. However, one of the medications he put me on cause me to gain 24 lbs. I was already overweight due to 3 pregnancies, so the extra weight gain didn’t help at all. So far, since discontinuing the medication that caused the problem, I have lost 14 lbs. I still have a lot to go, but it definitely helps to see some progress!
This product would be helpful for our family because we both were just diagnosed with Diabetes Type 2. So we know that we need to start physical exercise but it is so hard. We have started to eat more foods that are good for us and count calories and carbs a bit more closely than before. This would also be good to get us to be more close to one another and be healthy together. Thanks for reading.
I think this would be helpful because it looks fun to use so you would less likely to get bored, I think i would actually look forward to using it.

This would help so much right now! My husband and I have been struggling with infertility for almost 2 years and loosing some weight would most likely help in acheiving our goal of having another child!
My fitness goal is to lose 50lbs hopefully by the end of the year. I’ve already lost 5 lbs by eating tons of fruit and walking everyday. This would really help!
I’ve been working out for 3 years.
& really need something new to help keep me motivated.
I’ve always wanted to try this.
I have been over weight most of my life. I am only 19 years old, but I have been self conscious most of those years. I was not able to go to public school 8th grade through 12th because I was torn apart my all the mean comments people said. I did online school that whole time but I missed out on a lot, and I didn’t get out much. I think Wii Fit would help with my self confidence and get me out of the house! I really need to become more social and get a job. I have some major health problems because of my weight and so does my mom. I think it really benefit my family.
I lost 36 pounds and quit smoking at the same time by walking 30 minutes a day and by eating yogurt everytime I had craving for food or a cigerette.
This could benefit my whole household. My son loves video games so the fact that he would be moving as playing is great..My hubby is the same…LOVES his video games (sometimes I think he loves games more than me lol)…my daughters loved the V cycle but they outgrew it. This they couldn’t outgrow so I like that..And I could benefit from it because I am soon to have baby #4 and would like to at least get half way back to where I was before baby #1 lol.
This would be so amazing! My goal is to get back into my old jeans!
I have found it hard to really get up and exercise now that I am pregnant. I feel like I have lost all of my energy and seeing the previews for the wii fit on the tv, I have been very intrigued with how it could help me. The yoga portion of the game looks like it would be great while I am in my pregnancy and the other parts would be great when I am trying to get rid of all the baby fat I gain.
My daughter just turned 1 and I just turned 33, and I look a mess! I have struggled with high cholesterol most of my life and my doc urges me to loose at least 30lbs. I have changed my diet, but not much weight coming off. I know exercise is the key, but I find walking and biking very boring. It is also tough to get a moment to myself with a toddler, much less the time to get to a gym. Help!
I think this prize would be very helpful to my motivation. Some days I don’t want to move because of my fibromyalgia and I have heard that this Wii Fit is a fun way to be active. I need all the motivation that I can get. Thanks for the contest.
My fitness goals are to add 10lbs of muscle and lose 35lbs of fat.
I want to get in better shape this year, and think the Wii is just the tool to help me!
I have managed to lose 120 lbs so far. While diet had been a bit of a factor, the most important thing has been to keep changing up my activities so that I don’t get bored.
My fitness goal is to loose 10 lbs.
I am a fitness instructor and I would love to get wii fit because it is something that I can do at home with my whole family and its fun!
I’ve quit smoking and put on a lot of weight by doing so..and just want to lose it all off again doing something productive rather than trying unhealthy diets and starving myself.
I lost a decent amount of weight after joining Curves. I get easily bored with exercise routines and going there made it fun and the time flew by because you could do a little chatting with other members while working out. Due to our finances, I had to end my membership there, though.
I am a type 2 diabetic and need to lose a few pounds. This would be a wonderful way to help plus my diet that I have begun. Down 6 pounds so far!
I’ve struggled with my weight my entire life. The only time I’ve been successful at losing weight is when I’m pregnant or breastfeeding (I figure if I keep having kids, I could be skinny by the time I was 90). To quote my brother, “I hear the word diet and get hungry”. I’ve started numerous exercise programs; as long as I had plans to meet friends or my personal trainer at the gym, I would go. I’ve never been that good at motivating myself. I’ve heard that the Wii Fit acts like a personal trainer in that it calls you out if you missed a workout, etc. That’s what I need to help keep me motivated! I want to be in better shape so that I can chase and catch my nearly 3 year old! I also want to be healthier so that I can watch my kids grow up and hopefully my grandkids too…
We only have one car and there isnt really a park or large yard to play in around here. Its hard to get the kids up and moving, so this will help making them exercise without knowing they are exercising!
Last fall I stared walking to the park with my son 5 days a week , unless it is cold we go. I have lost 40 pounds so far. I even go down the slides with him now. I am half way to my goal
This would be helpful not just to me but to my whole family. It is hard to stick with the same old routine day after day and this would be a great way to change things up.
I was on bedrest for months with two of my pregnancies. I really never got back into shape after that, and that was 3 years ago. A month ago, I started walking again and now I’m starting to eat right too. I want the energy back to be able to play with my kids and when we race, be able to be them. I want to be able to pull them in the trailer without feeling like I’m going to die. Having a Wii Fit would be a nice addition to my workout that I have already.
I would LOVE to win this because I am overweight and 5 months ago I was diagnosed with very high cholesterol. I’ve been walking regularly when the weather is good, and I have lost some weight. My cholesterol is still high and I really don’t want to take medicine–I’d rather control/lower it through better eating choices & exercise, but with 6 children (and now pregnant with #7), it isn’t always easy. I want to have a healthy pregnancy and strengthen myself to have a good, uneventful labor & delivery. I want to lower my cholesterol so I can be a healthy, strong & fit mom to my children. Thank you for this chance to win.
I have blogged about this giveaway on my blog for a bonus entry, thank you. http://www.thriftylivingmom.com/2009/04/get-that-body-moving-contest.html
I’m over 50 and so is my sweetie…..we are foodies and love great food…..but we need to balance that with exercise! Being more active is the key since we both want to live life to the fullest! We are both vibrant and want to stay healthy.
Hi! Micheline here. Boy I’ve found it tougher since turning 50! Metabolism and Body changes not so great. It’s so important to stay healthy and active. Making changes to the diet and keeping active is so important to continuing to be vibrant.
i have been struggling with a lot of neck pain, and I have always thought the Wii Fit would help, i don’t know how to do yoga by myself but with a program teaching me I think I could! and they have a walking program that I think would help tremendously with getting active.
thank you so much for the chance!
My weight fluctuates by 25 pounds. I am actually at my ideal low range but need to get fit. I would love to win because maybe I will actually excersize!
I am diabetic and exercise is important. My goal is walk every day 2miles but here in the mountains it is tough in the the winter due to temp and snow/ice and having an alternative at home would be really helpful.
I’m hoping to lose 35 pounds. I’d like to work out after the kids are asleep and I can’t leave them in the house alone to go to the gym. I think my entire family would be happy to have me healthier and still present for them.
When I saw myself heading toward the 200 mark on that dreaded scale, I decided to do something about it. I now exercise about 4 times a week and eat right!
This prize would be an awesome tool so that I can add two more days of working out on my busy schedule. I really pray I win this.
I just wrote a post on my blog about stepping on the scale and realizing I was waaay above the weight I wanted to be at. I’ve since started trying to cut out food and I need to start exercising, but my problem is that I don’t want to LOL I have just a few precious minutes to myself every day and I hate to hand those over to exercise. I’ve tried exercise tapes and I’m just not coordinated enough to figure out what they are doing LOL I end up getting frustrated. I get bored on machines because I get to stare at a wall for 30 min. I think the Wii would help me in this goal because it’s not only exercise, but it’s fun too. The Wii would present a challenge to me that I would want to meet!
What a great giveaway! I am currently trying to regain and improve upon my level of fitness. I am over forty and had a baby 2 months ago. Those two things have reeked havoc on my body. I think this would be very helpful to keep me motivated to exercise.
My goal is just to get moving more! I’m sooo lazy, but I really need to get some exercise. The Wii Fit appeals to me because I don’t have to leave my house to get moving! =)
i have scolosis and have to keep in shape and shape up my muscle or it will get worse i think the wii fit would be a perfect thing for me to keep my muscle strectched and fit and i am still trying to lose baby fat
I would love to get a WiiFit! We are preparing to start trying for a 2nd baby. I have a 2.5 year old at home. A WiiFit would help me with the goal of becoming more active and help me prepare my body as I go through pregnancy and birth.
I am pregnant with my first little one, due in just 3 weeks. This would be so awesome to win and use once the baby is here. I think it would be the perfect low-impact workout to get me moving again! Thanks so much for this great giveaway!
Since becoming unemployed I have gained about 50lbs, which is not good with having high blood pressure. I have heard the wii fit is the lastest craze to lose weight and become fit.
I have been looking at tread mills but they are costly. The wii fit would cover more exercise routines and would be fun to play against my kids. I have to make a 2400 mile trip in june so money is tight, I would really love to make the trip being a few pounds lighter and in better shape then I’am in now.
Thank you for the chance to win a awesome prize that can serve so many purposes.
