GET THAT BODY MOVING!

I would love to welcome all the new readers who have joined us since the last Kidazy contest and invite you all to join in on this one! Over the past few years I managed to lose an impossible…or at least what felt like an impossible 42lbs. The journey wasn’t an easy one but it became easier after I realized that exercise and eating right were the ONLY things that were going to shift that weight! I have now managed to keep that weight off for a year and in celebration I have decided to encourage you all to join me in the incredible feeling of fitness! For parents and children alike being overweight and unfit is simply a road which leads to health problems, low self esteem and low self confidence and so with this new year let us all resolve to become (or stay) as fit as we can and to help in that i’m giving away one Wii Fit bundle!!

The Prize: One Nintendo Wii Console WITH a Wii Fit (including balance board) AND a Wii 5-in-1 Fitness Bundle which includes a rechargeable battery pack, USB charging cable, jeli sleeve, fitness mat, travel bag, and 1 pair of textured foot socks.

Winners: There will be one winner drawn at random from those in the US/Canada who comment appropriately (unqualifying comments will simply be deleted as they hinder the process of drawing a winner so make sure you read the rules!)

How To Win: Comment on this post with your weight loss stories, fitness goals OR why this prize would be HELPFUL (NOT why you need/want it) to you and your family!

When: One winner will be drawn on my birthday, April 10th.

So what’re you waiting for? Let’s get moving!

I had ankle surgery and can’t do strenuous exercise, so I have gained some weight. This would help me a lot because you can focus on strengthening and other goals

at 48, I really need to do something for my health, I live such a sedentary lifestyle, I’ve been wanting a wii and wii fit in hopes that a video game can get me off the couch

When I was in my 20’s I lost about 17 pounds exercising and using Weight Watchers. I managed to keep it off until I got pregnant and had my son at the age of 29. He’s almost 2 and I still have about 12 pounds to lose to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I’ve tried curbing my calories and doing a modified WW plan (without going to meetings). I’ve tried walking with him to get the weight off. It’s just not coming off. This would be beneficial in helping me work out at home while my son is with me napping or sleeping at night.
My goal is to lose these last 12 pounds and get in shape for the summer!

I have found that since the birth of my daughter now over 2 years ago I have not taken the time to take care of my fitness! It has been too cold to walk regularly with her and I don’t have childcare…I want to get into shape, lose the extra 20 pounds, and feel like I have energy. I feel so out of shape lately that I get out of breath chasing her, carrying her upstairs, etc. I want to be able to play with her and not get winded. I would love to use the Wii fit to determine my bmi and fitness goals. I’d be committed to doing the Wii fit daily, since I don’t need childcare to do and I don’t have to worry about the weather…no excuses! Time to get fit!
thank you for the chance!

My fitness goal is to train to run a total of 9 miles by the end of this summer. I am up to 3 right now.

After having my second child 3 months ago, my weight loss goals are all about losing the baby weight. I’m definitely not happy with the pooch that isn’t going away and I think that the Wii would be a great way for my whole family to have some fun while being active at the same time. Plus, it would allow me to fit in some exercise during naptime in the comfort of my own home and not have to try to find gym time. Thanks!

it’s be very helpful for my back injury to increase muscle tone with jarring impacts, difficult to work out without making things worse

I really want to get back into shape. My daughter and I have been doing some exercise videos and if the weather ever gets warmer we will ride bikes. My hubby is also starting to work out with us! Yeah.

Thank you for the giveaway, I think this will help me get in shape as I find sticking to regular exercise boring. This would be something fun and also good for me.

For once, I can say I am achieving my fitness goals: I recently eliminated much of the junk and filler from my diet and also increased bone-building exercises such as walking long distances with weights (I’m not an outdoor runner yet!) The Wii/Fitness would help me continue with more cardio exercise during the frigid Midwestern winters, by enabling me to run track indoors (minus having to haul myself over to the local gym.. defeats the purpose of exercising if one has to DRIVE one’s self over to use a treadmill, yes?) Although winter is over, I have a sweltering summer to look forward to, and often it’s not wise to do heavy exercising in the heat either. This is where the Wii comes in :) Thanks for the entry!
