Campout Adventure

Camping outside is a thrilling experience as a child; however, sometimes as you grow older the concept of camping outside may not be as thrilling as it was when you were a child which leaves you with the dilemma of how to give your child their own camping experiences without being stranded in the wilderness. That isn’t to say that some parents don’t love camping with their kids but some just can’t bring themselves to do it. The campout adventure set by Time To Play is a wonderful way to bring camping to your children without having to endure the bugs and the lost in the wilderness feeling that coems with it. This wonderful playset is 4” tall and is covered in

amazing graphics to emulate a real camping atmosphere. The set comes with a pretend fire with inflatable wooden logs and it even has a battery operated fan that simulates a crackling fire! This set is also a great way for really young children to experience camping together, telling stories by the "fire". The poles for this set are shock corded making it easy to put together and the polyester cover for the poles is easily washable with a damp cloth. The fan for the fire does require 2 AA batteries which are not included. The complete set measures 24" x 13" x 4".

You can this cute playset from Amazon.com ! I haven’t been able to find any of the cute playhouses featured on Kidazy.com in any retail stores as of yet.

    Jump-o-Lene

    Jump-o-Lene

It’s a well known fact that all kids love trampolines, it is also a well known fact that parents hate them with a passion because of the danger of falling off. Kids everywhere end up in Emergency Rooms every summer after falling off a trampoline and breaking at least one bone. The Jump-O-Lene is a great solution for parents and a great compromise for children who just can’t get that wish for a trampoline out of their head. The Jump-O-Lene featured in the picture above measures 80" x 27" and is made from heavy duty materials to withstand jumping kids. The Jump-O-Lene has a built in ledge for kids to sit on when they’re tired and includes a repair

patch in case a puncture does occur. The Jump-O-Lene is perfect for both indor and outdoor play so even on rainy days your kids get to play an outdoor game! The thing I most love about the Jump-O-Lene is that it encourages exercise disguised as fun so it’s a great solution for overweight children who don’t do well with structured exercise programs. The maximum weight limit for the Jump-O-Lene is 120lbs; however, so keep this in mind!

You can order the Jump-O-Lene from Amazon for just $39.99 and it comes with free shipping so you don’t get tagged with those oversized item shipping fees. I have yet to see the Jump-O-Lene in retail stores but if I do find it i’ll pop back and leave a note!

      Treasure Hunters from Haba

      Treasure Hunters from Haba

Today’s toy review in inspired by the beachiness of summer! As a child I ALWAYS collected shells and just about anything shiny I could find on the beaches but the problems that came with shell collecting were many. Firstly there’s the "where do I put them all?" then there’s the "ouch I cut myself on a particularly sharp shell" and the "oh gross what did I just pick up?" which is exactly why I LOVE the Treasure Hunters toy from Haba. The Treasure Hunter is a netted bag secured to a plastic top with a string attached to the top. Children can pull the treasure hunter by the string along the beach and gather lots of great shells and shiny things by simply

dragging, no touching involved and since the bag is netted the sand and cigarette butts (YUCK!) go right through the holes and your child doesn’t end up with a bag full of trash at the end of the day! The Treasure Hunter is also a great toy for indoor play on rainy days as it comes with a set of 10 coins , an hour glass and instructions on how to play indoor treasure hunter which consists of racing to see who gets the most treasure in their basket! Treasure hunter is designed for children aged 3ys+ and the basket measures 11"W x 9" H.

Treasure Hunters by Haba is next to impossible to find in local retail stores; however, you can find it at Oompa.com !

        Bugabike

        Bugabike

Today’s toy review is a recommendation from Nathalie and is a really cool idea for younger children who are having trouble grasping the balance aspect of bike riding. The Bugabike is a bike that is a bike without pedals so your child can focus more on the balancing aspect of bike riding before they tackle the whole enchilada! Enabling a child to learn how to control their bike before giving them the ability to somewhere rather quickly with it is a great idea and one akin to driving lessons for teens. The Bugabike is already a huge hit in Europe; however, it is just now making it’s appearance in the US and it’s already a huge hit! The Bugabike is made from Birch Polywood and

has real tires just like any other bike. The Bugabike also has rubber hand grips to make sure your child has a good grip as they endeavour on their bike riding lesson! The Bugabike is pretty light at 8lbs and it is compact enough to take anywhere with you in the trunk of your car. Bugabikes also come with a three year warranty and is recommended for children ages 2 to 6yrs.

The BugaBike is available from their official website at Bugabike.com or you can pick it up from Amazon.com and get free shipping! There are a variety of Bugabike’s available; however, this is the most affordable!

          Badger Basket Cabana Sandbox

          July 5th, 2008 by admin
          Badger Basket Cabana Sandbox

Sandboxes are an extremely popular toy for summertime play, in fact I have previously featured a sandbox; however, the cabana sandbox caught my eye and I just had to share it. The Cabana sandbox is made from solid cedar wood giving it a beautiful classy look for your backyard as opposed to the obnoxious colors and plastic trends that are taking over backyards everywhere. The wooden look comes in especially handy if you live in a neighborhood with strict home owner policies. The cabana sandbox comes with a full canopy top which prevents sunburned children and also prevents leaves and debris filling the sandbox. The Cabana Sandbox also

has mesh sides which clip down to create a mosquito free zone for children in the sandbox or the mesh netting can also be rolled up to allow free play without the confining netting on the sides of the sandbox. The Cabana sandbox measures 56"L x 56"W x 7.75"H and has convenient seating on each side so kids can play in the sand without sitting in it!

The Cabana Sandbox is made by Badger Basket Toys and can be found at Toys R Us or it can also be found at Amazon.com!
