Moey's Music Party

I was contacted in early April as my last contest was beginning and asked to review another CD, only this time it was a request from a mommy musician who I find to be absolutely amazing after listening to her CD "Moey’s Music Party." There really isn’t a niche that I can put Moey’s music in to because it’s just fun, it’s lively music that teaches kids different lessons with hip rhymes and snappy beats. Moey’s Music Party is a 17 song CD that runs for 43.27 minutes and includes funny noises as heard on the track "Pierre Wouldn’t Wash His Hair", great lessons as heard on the track (and one of my favorites) "Share" and "I Always Sit When I Eat", and

health and personal hygeine with the tracks "Achoo" and "I Gotta Go Potty." Not only are "Moey’s" songs upbeat and snappy enough to get any grumpy toddler out of a fresh morning funk but the stories behind them are actually taken from "Moey’s" experiences with her young son which makes them easy for both parents and kids to relate to. "Moey" herself is an award winning off-Broadway songwriter who not only puts her efforts in to creating amazing songs to really get kids moving but she also teaches 300 children every week at various locations in Manhattan! This woman knows kids and it really shows through the enthusiasm in her voice as she sings her catchy tunes and ends up getting everyone in the car moving to the beat!

"Moey’s Music Party" is available for order from CDBaby.com and other various online retailers, or you can directly download it right now for $8.90 from Buy.com. "Moey" was also kind enough to send me one extra copy of this CD so it’s up for grabs for all Kidazy readers! All you have to do to enter to win is leave a comment on this blog entry and a commentator will be drawn at random on Monday May 19th and have their copy of "Moey’s Music Party" shipped straight to them!

Little Maestros Postcards From My Mind CD

Little Maestros Postcards From My Mind

Upon receiving a copy of the Little Maestro’s "Postcards From My Mind" CD I was skeptical about recommending it to my readers, i’ve never been one to enjoy those gratingly annoying childrens song tapes that get latched on to by kids and played repeatedly until the cd no longer works. The funny thing is though, that once I popped this CD in to the CD player in my car I was pleasantly surprised, not only with voice narration of a story but also with the amazing talent of the voices singing the songs that appeared on every other track of the CD. This CD in particular tells a story about a hotel named Hotel Parazone and a little girl named Sparkle

who goes on a journey through her imagination. This CD is the third in a series of Little Maestro CD’s and is worth picking up for the fact that it resembles no other children’s music that you’ve ever heard before. This CD is great for imaginative journeys for kids of all ages, you may just find yourself spacing out and going on a journey of your own as you listen!

The Little Maestro’s are a HUGE hit in the New York area and even have mommy and me type classes as well as live shows of their music! The Little Maestro’s feature not only a musical storytime but they also assist in language development, imaginative play, global awareness, puppet play and let’s pretend activities! With the help of the Little Maestro’s CD’s you are able to join in with these eye widening experiences without having to live in the center of New York!
