Fisher-Price Smart Cycle

Today I break from the usual of bringing you unusual and new toys to bring something that’s been around for a little while but continues to amaze me. The Fisher-Price Smart Cycle is an amazing video gaming unit for younger children consisting of a "smart cycle" that hooks up to your television and uses unique software and games to teach your children more about the world around them as well as to give your child more exercise. The reason I absolutely love this toy is because it gets kids active instead of sitting them down in front of a gaming unit. The smart cycle system allows you child to customize their own bike as well as explore

different "themes". Different games for the Smart Cycle incorporate popular characters such as Sponge Bob and Dora the explorer to teach concepts such as letters, numbers, colors and shapes. The cycle comes with Learning Journey software; however, character based games are sold seperately for about $20 each. The Smart Cycle is recommended for children aged 3-6yrs and measures 9" x 16.9" x 35" and weighs 19.9lbs.

Because the Smart Cycle is made by Fisher Price you will be able to find it just about anywhere you go looking for it, Amazon and Walmart carry the Smart Cycle for $86.88, Target tacks on an extra $13.

Mickey Digital Camera

This adorable Mickey Mouse digital camera is a great way to encourage your child to dabble in photography without playing with mommy and daddy’s expensive digital camera. Most children are fascinated with photography and with the recent release of children’s digital cameras it can sometimes be difficult to distinguish which ones are worth the money and which aren’t. This Mickey Mouse digital camera not only allows your child to take real digital pictures of their own but it also has the fun Mickey ears and hands to give it that extra something. This camera has a view finder type view for the photographer and easy to use big buttons. The camera also comes with

photo editing software to edit and view photos taken with the camera. The camera itself is made of plastic and has a storage capacity of 8MB with additional memory available for purchase. The digital resolution of the camera is 640×480, the lens is 5.4mm, f= 2.8. The focus range of the camera is 4 feet – infinity, the LCD screen gives a 1.3" color LCD preview and the camera connects to the PC via a USB cord. The camera has a built in flash and measures 4 1/4” H X 5 1/2” W x 2 1/4” D. This camera requires 4 AA batteries and one button cell battery, both included with the camera.

This camera is available from the Disney store and while I usually stray away from big name brand toys as much as possible I do have a weak spot for the Disney store being a HUGE Disney fan. The Disney Store online usually has some great coupon codes and sales going on as well which will usually save you between 10-40% off your purchases.
