The Leapfrog Leapster L-Max learning game system comes in both pink and gray/blue to suit both sexes and has been raved about by parents since it’s release. The purpose of the Leapster L-Max is to replace those brain rotting games that children are currently playing on their handheld video game systems with games that stimulate their brains and increase their intelligence by teaching them things that they would otherwise be learning in school but disguising them as "fun". With this handheld gaming system kids are learning letters, numbers, reasoning and a number of other life skills in the guise of a fun game with

popular characters such as Dora and the crew from Madagascar. The Leapster L-Max is recommended for kids aged 4-10 and has multiple skill levels. The Leapster also plugs in to the TV so kids can play the games and watch the results of their actions as they play out on the TV screen. The Leapster has many functions and is also shaped perfectly for little hands so kids don’t get uncomfortable holding it for long car trips. The Leapster L-Max also requires 4 AA batteries which are not included. The Leapster does, however, include an interactive touch screen and pen.

The games for the Leapster L-Max are sold seperately and come in a variety of skill levels as well as a variety of skill niches so parents can pick games based on their individual child’s needs. Games for the L-Max run at approximately $20-30 a piece and can be purchased from most larger toy stores.

The Leapfrog Fridge Phonics Magnet Set is a set of 26 magnetic letters and one magnetic letter reader which takes three AAA batteries.
