on a rainy dismal day! The cards come in an easy to carry box which makes them perfect for car travel especially since there are no small pieces to lose! The best part about this game is that it allows both parents and children to learn more about new places together! This game is recommended for children ages 8yrs+ because it is a more grown up type of game and younger children will not enjoy the challenge of learning about new places quite as much!
You can find the Oh The "Wondrous" Places You’ll Go! Travel Card Game over at Amazon.com. I have not seen these in retail stores anywhere.

Recently I have been splitting my time between blogging and studying for the GRE and during my studying I recalled just how much I dreaded (and still do) doing math. Growing up with a dread of math has mostly been due to the fact that that was the one hole left in my education during elementary school and as a result upon entering high school I was out of the loop and left floundering in the water. My problem was resolved by a tutor during my high school years; however it would have been avoided completely had I had toys like the Multiplication Wrap Ups from Learning Wrap-Ups available to me during my younger elementary school days. The Multiplication

Wrap Ups are a set of "keys" that cover 120 basic facts on the multiplication tables. The set contains ten self correcting keys that allow your child to lace up the question to the answer of each multiplication problem and then turn the card over to see if their answer was correct. Multiplication tables are all about practice (okay and maybe a few tricks here and there) and there is no better (and more portable) way to learn them than by the Multiplication Wrap Ups! These keys are recommended for children from grades 1 – 3 as well as anyone else who could use a reminder when it comes to multiplication!.
You can find the Multiplication Wrap Ups over at Amazon.com. I have not seen these in retail stores anywhere.

Educational toys are an extremely important and effective tool at encouraging your child to learn. Since all children learn in various ways and yet may not be old enough to voice to you the fact that "I am a visual learner," "I am a hands on learner" etc, it is important that you expose your child to as many varieties of learning as possible. One thing that has been repeatedly proven is that children learn exceptionally well through hands on or "doing" action which is what makes "Let’s Build Sentences" by Dowling Magnets such a great educational tool. Teaching language art skills such as sentence structure, grammar, and punctuation can be a frustrating experience

for both you and your child; however, with the hands on experience in "Let’s Build Sentences" by Dowling Magnets this task becomes easier and much more enjoyable. The game comes with a 9" x 12" magnetic playboard, 200 high frequency sight word magnets, punctuation, blank tiles, and a set of sentence building activities to make your learning and teaching process more fun! This game is recommended for children ages 5yrs+
You can find the "Let’s Build Sentences" by Dowling Magnets over at Amazon.com. I have not seen this game locally in any retail stores.

It has always been difficult to get children interested in science, short of bugs and animals it’s difficult to get a child’s attention to focus on anything that does not provide hands on communication. The Learning Resources Magnetism Science Station is a wonderful way to encourage scientific learning for your children as well as to allow them to have fun and experiment on their own with the laws of magnetism! This set is a tabletop station that features a magnetic surface on the top, a magnetic wand and ten magnetic marbles. This table can also be used with any magnetic items to reveal the laws of magnetism! The three legs on this table set

do come off to allow for both easy storage and for use on your own tabletops! The station measures 7" by 9" and because of the smaller pieces it is not recommended for children under the age of 4yrs.
You can find the Learning Resources Magnetism Science Station over at Amazon.com. I have not seen this toy in any local retail stores.
