Lamaze Spin & Explore Gym

Lamaze Spin & Explore Gym

There are so many companies out there these days establishing new products for infants and often times it’s hard to distinguish which companies are the best to go to for your infants needs. I have found Lamaze to be one of the bigger yet more trusting companies to work with for new infant products. The Lamaze Spin and Explore Gym is one of my favorite Lamaze products because it fits in to the "playmat" genre of toys which are increasingly popular for infants; however, it’s not the typical "been there done that" playmat that’s on the market today. The Lamaze Spin and Explore Gym has lots of vibrant colors with squeeky and crinkly noises and textures to keep babies

little fingers busy as they play. By laying on the soft spinner in the center of the mat baby is encouraged to stretch and use upper body muscles to reach the bright colorful characters on the mat. The soft spinner rotates as baby leans so he/she can move on to the next colorful and stimulating toy on the mat. The Lamaze Spin and Explore Gym is recommended for newborns through 1yr olds and measures 28"L x 28"W.

You can find the Lamaze Spin and Explore Gym over at BackToBasicsToys.com. I have never seen these particular Gym’s in retail stores; although you can find a variety of other Lamaze toys in your local retail stores.

Melissa and Doug Classic ABC Block Cart

        September 11th, 2008 by admin
Melissa and Doug Classic ABC Block Cart

Today’s featured toy is a blast from the past for all of us and our parents as well. The ABC Block Cart has been a toy that has been featured in many households over goodness knows how long. The ABC Block Cart has been such a popular toy for such a long time because of the learning aspect as well as the appeal of a building toy to children combined with a pull cart! The ABC Block Cart by Melissa and Doug revisits this age old toy with a sturdy cart filled with 30 brightly colored wooden blocks painted with letters, pictures and numbers! The wooden blocks are solid wood, no hollow blocks as you often find in remakes of this classic toy! The blocks in

this set are chunky enough to allow little hands to get a good grip on them for spelling games or for building games! The ABC Block Cart is recommended for children ages 2yrs+. This set should be used with supervision; however, due to the pull cord on the wagon. While the pull cord is short enough that children have to bend down to pull it, it is still best used by younger aged children with supervision or you could simply cut the cord and allow children to use the cart as a push cart!

You can find the Melissa and Doug ABC Block Cart over at Amazon.com or keep your eye out for Melissa and Doug products at your local retail stores!

          September 9th, 2008 by admin
EyeClops Night Vision Infrared Stealth Goggles

Today’s toy review is one for the older children out there and those with a love for all things military or electronic! The Eyeclops Vision Infrared Stealth Goggles are night vision goggles perfect for your little soldier! The Eyeclops Night Vision goggles come from the company "Eyeclops" known for making both educational and scientific toys for kids that make learning fun but the Night Vision goggles are one of the most impressive of their products. The goggles are powered by real infra-red driven night vision technology and enable clear visibility for up to 50 feet in complete darkness! These goggles make the perfect tool for camping kids too, enabling

them to see each other in pitch blackness. These goggles are also great for hide and seek in the dark! The goggles require 4 "AA" batteries that are not included with them and the goggles measure 10"L x 12"W x 7"H. The infrared goggles are recommended for children aged 6yrs+.

You can find the Eyeclops Vision Infrared Stealth Goggles over at Amazon.com, I have yet to see these in any store other than the chain of Discovery stores that recently closed for business.
