D-REX Interactive Dinosaur

One of the biggest name toys on the market for kids this year is the D-REX Interactive Dinosaur, and while it is out of many of our budgets it is still a wonderful toy and still within range for some families! The D-REX Interactive Dinosaur is a product of that huge name company Mattel; however, it is something new to children giving them not only a toy dinosaur to play with but one that responds to your child’s voice. The D-REX acts like a pet to your child and by a combination of robotics, software and real reptilian feeling skin your child will be ecstatic when he/she introduces their new D-REX to their friends! The D-REX dinosaur will not only

attack and obey on command but D-REX isn’t all teeth and scares just petting his head will cause him to react just like a dog. D-REX moves and roars and is trainable by the remote control which comes with him! D-REX also has a guard function which enables your child to guard his / her bedroom with their new companion! D-REX is recommended for children ages 8yrs+ and measures 22"L x 8.75"W x 13.28"H.

You can find the D-Rex Interactive Dinosaur over at Amazon.com or at many of your big name toystores locally!

Dinosaur Bin

by admin on November 15, 2008 in Dinosaurs and Dragons

Dinosaur Bin

Relatives tend to give gifts during holiday occasions that make a mess and nothing is as frustrating as stepping on mini action figures that get strewn all over the floor, especially at night time when you’re trying to sneak downstairs! The Dinosaur Bin by Neat-Oh is a great way to give your child a supplemental gift as well as a handy place to store the action figures they have to prevent them from being impaled in your feet or excreted by your dog a few days later! The Dinosaur Bin is a playmat which features beautifully colored volcano’s, islands, seas and waterfalls, the mat is ideal for children who collect small dinosaur figures but it also

comes in useful for animal collectors and can even be used with smaller cars! The greatest part of this playmat is that when your child is finished the mat folds up in to a box with zippers on the side to make it a sturdy toy box in which your child can keep all of his figures without having to worry about losing them! This playmat meets child safety standards as well as wipes clean when spills happen!

You can find this Dinosaur Bin Playset over at Amazon.com. I have not seen anything like this particular set in my local stores; however, I have found other dinosaur playsets at retail stores in my area.

Beleduc Fabric Marrionette, Dragon Marionette

Growing up I was always enchanted by the marrionette puppets on the streets of Spain and I would beg and beg my parents for one of my own; however, knowing that they would only last a few minutes with the multiple flimsy strings, my parents never gave in. While traditional marrionette’s are gorgeous to look at they are just not practical toys for children with the multiple thin strings and the jointed wooden pieces. The Beleduc Fabric Marrionette is a great solution for children who love marrionette puppets as much as I did as a child. The Beleduc Fabric Marrionette is made from soft plush material and has only four "strings" which are thick enough to

withstand any childs play! The Beleduc fabric marrionette is part of a set of marrionette’s that complete the story of the knight on his horse rushing to save the princess from the firebreathing dragon. The dragon marrionette is recommended for children ages 3yrs and up and it measures 16"H.

You can get any of the Beleduc fabric marionette’s from Amazon for just under $20 or you can check your local Target and see if they have any of these puppets in stock!

I Dig Dinosaurs Triceratops

The I Dig Dinosaurs Triceratops kit is sure to be a big hit with any aspiring dino doctors out there! The I Dig Dinosaurs kits are made by Curiousity Kits, a big provider of learning and discovering toys among smaller mom and pop owned shops as well as in a few of the larger superstores out there. The I Dig Dinosaur Triceratops kit is a kit that comes with a steel hammer and chisel and a buried Triceratops skeleton replica which children dig up with the provided tools and assemble themselves. The bones snap together easily and reassemble to form a complete Triceratops skeleton which can be painted and displayed wherever your child sees fit.

The I Dig Dinosaur kits aren’t recommended for children under the age of six; however, even at the age of six children are going to need a little assistance from mom and dad on this one as it involves a little hammer work which may proove dangerous for the younger ones of the family. The I Dig Dinosaurs Triceratops kit also includes a Paleontologist field guide, a painting set and digging goggles to protect eyes!

Curiousity Kits also produce a T-Rex kit, an Egyptian Mysteries kit and a Pirate Island kit, all of which are also available from KazooToys.com !
