Today’s featured ‘toy’ from ETSY is something quite a little bit different but so ingenious that I couldn’t resist featuring it! Being that the description of this guy includes the words "The fraternity of bloodthirsty machines" this one is DEFINITELY not for younger kids, in fact late middle school and up would be my suggestion for this one! If you have an older child who is just taken with the idea of robots and machinery in general then this little robot miniature and all of his friends (yes he is part of a robot clan!) would make the perfect and a very affordable gift! This particular little guy is number two of the "fraternity of bloodthirsty machines" and goes by the name "Belvedere Badswitch" and

he is purported to be the communications expert of the fraternity, he serves to inform all of his robot brothers on human movement and occasionally plays Duke Ellington! This little guy stands at 4" tall and is made from metal couplers, solder, glue and vacuum tubes! You can pick up all of his fraternity brothers as well if you take a look around Imaginary Thomas’ ETSY store!
You can find Toy Robot Miniature – Astonishing Belvedere Badswitch over at ETSY.com. Since these robots are handmade they are not available anywhere but ETSY!

Finding children a hobby to keep them entertained as well as educated can be difficult; however, one hobby that has been popular for decades now is train collecting. Most parents I know stress about their childrens future when it comes to being provided for and a great way to ensure that your child has something to fall back on is to purchase one of these collectible toys once in a while instead of

something just for the sake of it. Sure collectibles don’t always stay in collectible condition but you’d be surprised at the beating these sets can take and still be worth something decades down the road! The Lionel Trains Polar Express Train Set might be expensive but when it comes to the brand name you know you are getting the very best. This train set measures 60"L x 40"W x 2"H, this train has been designed to be true to the original train and features a die-cast metal Berkshire steam locomotive with a new larger pilot headlight lens cap and unique whistle! Due to the nature of this toy it is not recommended for children under 8yrs.
You can find the Lionel Trains Polar Express Train Set over at Amazon.com. You may be able to find this one at local hobby shops or train specialty stores; however, due to fluctuations in inventory and brands carried this may be a difficult item to locate locally.
