Finding children a hobby to keep them entertained as well as educated can be difficult; however, one hobby that has been popular for decades now is train collecting. Train collecting not only gives your child a hobby to keep them entertained but it also gives them something to collect, something to educate them in other fields and something that may be worth considerable money once their children are grown. Most parents I know stress about their childrens future when it comes to being provided for and a great way to ensure that your child has something to fall back on is to purchase one of these collectible toys once in a while instead of

something just for the sake of it. Sure collectibles don’t always stay in collectible condition but you’d be surprised at the beating these sets can take and still be worth something decades down the road! The Lionel Trains Polar Express Train Set might be expensive but when it comes to the brand name you know you are getting the very best. This train set measures 60"L x 40"W x 2"H, this train has been designed to be true to the original train and features a die-cast metal Berkshire steam locomotive with a new larger pilot headlight lens cap and unique whistle! Due to the nature of this toy it is not recommended for children under 8yrs.
You can find the Lionel Trains Polar Express Train Set over at Amazon.com. You may be able to find this one at local hobby shops or train specialty stores; however, due to fluctuations in inventory and brands carried this may be a difficult item to locate locally.

Today’s toy is out of most of our budgets; however, once I ran in to this one in a local toy store I absolutely had to feature it because the sheer detail of it is mind blowing to say the least – so much so that my better half stood staring at it with his mouth open for a good three minutes before actually saying anything. The Lego Star Wars Ultimate Collector’s Millennium Falcon is a massive Star Wars based lego figure kit that is perfect for any Star Wars lover big or small. Besides the detail one of the things that really appeals to me about this toy is the fact that it is something that really gets dad’s involved and for some families that can be a difficult task. When the

model is completed it measures 33.1"L x 22.2"L x 8.3"H and features amazing detail such as the retractable boarding ramp, a cockpit top that can be removed to access mini-figures, guns in the top and bottom turrets that rotate and the top gun turret comes off to allow a figure to sit in it. This kit also has a mini figure gallery including Han Solo, Chewbacca, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, and Leia Organa. This is by far the biggest Lego Star Wars model ever made and contains 5,195 individual pieces! Because of this set being the small lego pieces it is not recommended for children under 6yrs.
You can find the Lego Star Wars Ultimate Collector’s Millennium Falcon over at Amazon.com. I have also seen this one at Sams Club and ToysRUs; however, they were in short supply which I believe is due to the cost.
