Educo - My First Tool Set

Educo - My First Tool Set

I have previously featured a big name toolbench; however, when I ran across the Educo My First Tool Set today I had to share with the Kidazy community because not only is it absolutely adorable but it also comes to you courtesy of an environmentally conscious company. Hape is a company that researches and produces child safe toys by collaborating with child-focussed organizations. The My First Tool Set is ideal for young builders and mechanics and comes with 39 individual pieces! The unit itself is in three levels and can be used on either the table or the floor. The tool bench comes with slots all over the table that hold the tools and the wood in place

so things don’t go flying all over the place. The My First Tool Set tool bench measures 15.75" L x 8.25" W x 15.75"H and is recommended for children ages 3-8yrs.

You can find the Educo My First Tool Set tool bench over at Amazon.com for just under $40!

      Crazy Forts

      July 25th, 2008 by admin
      Crazy Forts

Today’s toy review was requested by Jim and is a really neat toy recommended for children aged 4yrs+. Crazy Forts are unlike the forts and playhouses I have featured on Kidazy.com before because they allow children to create their very own forts in their own design! Instead of your kids tearing apart your living room furniture with Crazy Forts they can sit and design and create their own forts every day of the week and come up with a new fort design everytime! Crazy Forts are easy to put together, just slotting the sticks in to the balls creates a playhouse frame of any shape! You can even create your own igloo with these sets! Once the frame is completed you just

throw a sheet over the top and you’re fort is complete! The Crazy Forts set is both durable and portable so you can take them to the babysitters house and be sure that they will come home…assuming no pieces get lost! Crazy Forts can also be used to create tunnels so with a couple of Crazy Fort packs siblings can create their own forts and attach them with a tunnel! The Crazy Forts set comes with 25 balls and 44 sticks.

Crazy Forts construction set is available from Mastermind Toys via their online website: MastermindToys.com !

        Oliblock Minis

        July 11th, 2008 by admin
        Oliblock Minis

Oliblock’s are the modern age’s equivalent to Lego’s and Magnetix and similar types of construction toys. Oliblocks are construction blocks that are shaped in modern abstract shapes and they fit together by interconnecting to each other via tube shaped and rounded ends on the individual pieces. Oli Blocks come in a variety of colors, warm and cool translucent color schemes, and bright solid colored pieces all of which appeal visually and look great when assembled in to constructions. Oliblock’s can be built upon just like Lego’s can so it is possible to purchase multiple packs and combine them to receive a more colorful effect. Oliblock’s

come in clear tubes of 24 pieces (unless you purchase a larger pack) and sell for between $19 for the mini block’s tubes and $44 for the full sized block’s tubes. Oliblocks are also magnetized so they can snap together; however, this aspect of the toy combined with the size of the pieces make Oliblocks only suitable for children aged 3yrs+ according to packaging; however, i’d hold off on giving these to your 3yr old and give them to your 6yrs+ children instead.

I have not been able to locate Oliblocks in any retail stores as of yet; however, they are available from multiple locations online including Amazon.com!

          Stacking Animals Game from Haba

          June 27th, 2008 by admin
          Stacking Animals Game from Haba

Blocks and building toys are always a big hit with both little boys and girls but the problem with blocks is that there are few ways to recreate blocks and make them in to something new and different. Haba has come up with stacking animals to replace those traditional square blocks and they have really brought something new to the table. These great wooden animals consist of penguins, snakes, sheep, monkeys, alligators and more! These colorful stacking animals are not only great for building and stacking but they are also helpful in learning colors and animals and they’re perfect for little hands! These blocks actually come as part of a

stacking pyramid game; however they are also great when used as just building toys! The stacking game is recommended for 2-4 players and from ages 4yrs and up because of the size of some of the smaller pieces. This fun game designed by Klaus Miltenberger contains 29 wooden animals, on dice and a set of instructions on how to play the game!

The stacking animals game from Haba is available from OOmpa.com for just under $18. I haven’t been able to find this one anywhere else as of yet; although I have located a few knock offs at various online retailers.
