It is easy to forget the reason of the season for younger children who get so excited about presents and Santa that they sometimes forget all about the real meaning of Christmas! God Gave Us Christmas by Lisa Bergren is a great kid friendly way to remind your little ones all about the reason we celebrate Christmas! Not only is this amazingly illustrated book great for your kiddos but you are sure to get sucked in to the story yourself.

One of my fondest memories as a child is learning to cook, both in school and in the kitchen with my older sister. There is nothing like learning to cook to make your younger family members feel like an important part of the kitchen as well as to bring the whole family together for a fun activity that will result in tasty treats as well! I highly recommend the Paula Deen’s My First Cookbook not only because Paula Deen is one of my all time favorite television personalities but also because this book has some amazingly tasty recipes that your kids are going to have an absolute ball with! This great book includes recipes for things like ants on a log,

Haystacks and stuffed shells! All of the recipes in this book are extremely kid and parent friendly and the book also contains great tips for cooking mom and dad breakfast in bed on those special occasions! This book is recommended for children of all ages with parental guidance in the kitchen!
You can find Paula Deen’s My First Cookbook over at Amazon.com. You can also find this one at your local bookstore and remember, if they don’t have it in stock you can order it for delivery to the store at no extra charge!

If you have ever read a book by Maya Angelou you will know what a talented and amazingly beautiful writer she is and now she presents "Amazing Peace: A Christmas Poem" for the whole family to enjoy over the Holiday season! This wonderful book comes in a hardcover edition for just over $12 and tells an amazing tale of humanity and the real spirit of the holiday season. While this book is definitely not one for the youngest members of the family as it contains language that would be hard for them to understand it does make a great holiday tradition for older members of the family. The recommended age on this story is for children ages 4yrs+ however with

wording such as “ANGELS AND Mortals, Believers and Nonbelievers, look heavenward,” it comes across as a book which is perhaps better suited to children ages 8yrs+. This beautifully illustrated book is told in poetry and makes a wonderful moment for the whole family to gather around.
You can find "Amazing Peace: A Christmas Poem" by Maya Angelou over at Amazon.com. You can also find this book at your local big name bookstores in the holiday books section, if not ask them to order a copy for free in store delivery!

There used to be a theory that boys should be raised with a knowledge of certain things as well as that girls should be raised with a knowledge of certain other things and while these ideas may be outdated the concept still comes in to play for children of today’s generation. Some boys still have the fortune of being in youth groups such as Boy Scouts that implement teaching of certain life skills; however, other boys are not as lucky and until now have missed out on some of these important lessons of independance. "The Dangerous Book For Boys" is a wonderful hardcover book intended for boys and men alike and makes a wonderful gift for any

parent to give to their son. Inside this book you will find great stories of struggle, reminders of past events that have since been lost to an age of technology, simple but forgotten skills such as how to tie knots etc. The entire concept of this book is reteaching our sons of today about risk, history, fun and independance – four things which have become lost in our age of overprotective parenting and techological independance. If you’re a parent to a daughter, don’t worry, you can pick up The Daring Book For Girls.
You can find The Dangerous Book For Boys over at Amazon.com or at any of your local bookstores, you may even find this one in stores such as Walmart or Target!
