Crayola 150-Count Telescoping Crayon Tower

Today’s toy review is a big name toy which is a no no here at Kidazy; however, it’s such a great idea that I couldn’t help but post it and the price doesn’t hurt either! The Crayola 150-Count Telescoping Crayon Tower is a really neat invention in that it completely avoids the worn cardboard boxes of crayons that break and spill crayons everywhere! This set has 150 crayons including regular Crayola colors, metallix FX crayons and glitter crayons giving your child a lot of choice when it comes to which color to use! The greatest part about this Crayola invention is that it telescopes up making it easy for your child to grab the crayon that they need instead of having to cram little

fingers inside a cardboard box and fish out the color they want and it also prevents crayons being tipped all over the floor which saves you a floor full of crayon wax shavings! Another great aspect of Crayola products - you can always refill them and you can find them ANYWHERE!

You can find the Crayola 150-count telescoping crayon tower just about anywhere that Crayola crayons are sold! As always, if you can’t find your product at a local store take a look at Amazon.com!

    Little Comics Stencils from Djeco

    Little Comics Stencils from Djeco

As a child I remember loving arts and crafts time at school and my favorite thing to do was to use our classroom stencil bucket and create stencil drawings. The Little Comics Stencils from Djeco are really cute comic character stencils that kids are sure to enjoy. The set of comic stencils includes five colorful animals including a bunny, a bear, a crocodile, a cat and a chick! These stencils allow children to stencil these characters all on their own and decorate them as they wish. The stencils are recommended for children ages 3yrs and up and emasure 8"L x 8"W. These stencils are great for encouraging creative expression, cognitive / fine motor /

gross motor and sensory development as well as independant play! Djeco also carries other stencil sets as well including the princesses stencils, the horses stencils, the world stencils and farm animal stencils although my favorite is the comic stencil set because it’s much goofier than the other sets!

The Little Comics Stencils set is available from Amazon.com for just under $7, a great deal if you ask me! All of the stencil sets from Djeco can be found over at Amazon.com so if you’re looking for more than one set you’ll be able to combine your shipping costs.

      Alex Knot a Quilt

      June 12th, 2008 by admin
      Alex Knot a Quilt

With kids home for summers and the opressive heat, at least down here in the south, it’s always good to have something crafty on hand to keep little fingers busy. The Alex Knot A Quilt from FAO Schwarz is an absolutely fabulous way to keep little fingers occupied without having to have mom and dad around to help out with stitching! The Alex Knot A Quilt set is recommended for children aged 6-10 years…or older, I personally find this set really fun and entertaining! The Knotted Quilt set is pretty self explanatory but comes with instructions for new comers to knotted quilting. The quilt set also comes with 48 squares of fleece material in six different
      Promgirl

colors that can be used to knot together to make one huge quilt! The final quilt comes to a great 36" x 48" and is really colorful. The greatest part of knotted quilting is that children get to create something they can show off and be proud of with very little chance of "doing it wrong". Another GREAT thing about this set is that once you’ve got ahold of how to create a quilt you can run to your local Michaels or Walmart and pick up a fabric your child loves and have them start over giving you a great and cheap summer activity…come to think of it, it’s a great year round activity!

The Alex Knot A Quilt set from FAO Schwarz is carried by and sold through Amazon.com for just under $25. Another option for this set is to find instructions online for knotted quilting and run to your local Walmart or Michaels and find some material that you like and get started that way!

        USA Made Rag Doll Kit

        June 6th, 2008 by admin
        Rag Doll Kit

First off I will apologise for the size of the picture on this one, I was unable to find a larger one but this toy was too hard to pass up! The USA Made Rag Doll Kit is the perfect gift for your little one and it’s extra special because they get to assist in making their own toy. Forget those $50 Build-A-Bears, your child can build their own rag doll for just $18! This original rag doll kit includes fabric for the doll, dress and apron, lace, yarn for hair, a sewing needle, thread, a pattern for the doll, stuffing for the doll and instructions for how to put the rag doll together! The rag doll kit also includes a story on the history of rag dolls so your child can learn a little somthing about the

origin of what they are doing! Once the doll is complete it will measure around 11 1/4" tall and the type of doll is referred to as a "pancake" style doll because it is flat on both sides. This is the easiest of rag dolls to make which makes it the perfect first ragdoll project for your child as well as for you to make! All pieces of this kit are made in the USA and although there is no recommended age range for this one since it involves a needle and thread I wouldn’t recommend it for any child under 7-8yrs. If you want to give your younger child the experience of building a rag doll you can always purchase this kit and while you make the doll have your child "oversee" the construction and watch their doll come to life!

I found the Ragdoll kit over at OurGreenHouse.com, an online store that carries all organically friendly products so you can rest assured that your child is safe with any of their toys!

          Make Your Own Jewelry Kit

          May 17th, 2008 by admin
          Make Your Own Jewelry Kit

The Make Your Own Jewelry kit is another amazing artsy craftsy idea presented by the great folks over at LandofNod.com ! A great idea for a rainy day or a rambunctious slumber party the Make Your Own Jewekry Kit is a must have in any house full of creative kids! The jewelry kit contains over two hundred individual wooden beads in various shapes and colors and it also includes the letters of the alphabet. The letter beads are repeated a few times so no one has to fight over who gets the letter E ! More popular letters are also repeated more often than not so popular letters. The jewelry kit also includes eight laces to create necklaces or

bracelets or anklets so there are enough for multiple projects or for one big sleepover! This kit is recommended for children aged 4yrs and up; however, I highly suggest supervising those younger kids since the beads in this kit are so small.

I found this jewelry kit over at LandofNod.com and haven’t found an identical one anywhere else; however, there are multiple versions of "make your own friendship bracelet" kits or "make your own jewelry" kits out in most crafty type stores and even in the crafty toy section of larger toy stores like Toys R Us.
