If your home resembles anything remotely like mine as I was growing up then you are wading knee deep in piles of paper filled with colorful drawings and still always needing for more paper. The thing with paper is that although it’s handy and often times affordable buying and storing it in bulk can be expensive and non-space saving. The Kaplan Paper Center not only saves space with their paper towel like dispenser but they provide 400" of paper with the reel! This paper center dispensing reel makes it extremely easy for children to get their own paper and doesn’t leave you running to the closet for more reams of paper after a couple hours of arts

and crafts. Another great thing about the Kaplan Paper Center is that it allows children to create larger work’s of art, they are not constrained to one sheet of paper, with the reel of paper they can make longer and taller artwork! The paper provided with the paper center is 300′L by 12"W and comes with a child safe cutter to rip paper as well as non slip rubber feet to prevent the entire paper center from slipping when your child goes to cut the paper they need.

After featuring the Creations by You Create your own Story kit a few days ago I decided to poke around and find out what other inventive idea’s they had come up with in turning children’s work in to something a little more substantial and I happened upon the Creations By You: My Master Piece. The My Masterpiece set is much like the create your own storybook set, only this time the kit revolves around art work your child has created. This kit takes a drawing done by your child and creates a museum-style posted out of it for your child to hang on the wall of their bedroom! Your chidl can also choose to create a wooden framed piece of artwork

instead of the museum framed poster. The kit can use drawings, photo’s or both and utilizes the concept of mailing in your child’s art or using "Creations By You"’s online drawing tools to create a new art work. Once your child has completed his or her piece of art you simply mail it in in the provided stamped and addressed envelope and weeks later you’ll receive your poster art! Posters measure 24" x 18" or wooden frame’s measure 11" x 14". This kit is recommended for children ages 3yrs+ and includes washable markers and special paper to originate the drawings or attach photos!

As a child there was nothing I loved more than drawing, painting and coloring but the most rewarding projects I ever did were always paint by numbers, sure it’s "cheating" but to be able to "create" a piece of artwork that looks so professional at such a young age is a thrill. This particular Paint by Numbers kit has no recommended age range; however, children do need to have a little more coordination and understanding of painting within lines and following directions in order to fully enjoy this piece.
