Tie Dye Kit

Finding arts and crafts activities to keep the attention of children of all ages is never an easy task, however, tie dye crafts have always been a great way to entertain children and adults of all ages. The Tie Dye kit by Jacquard is a huge tie dying kit which can dye up to 15 different shirts! The Tie Dye kit comes with one pair of rubber gloves, four squirt (mixing) bottles, rubber bands, 1/3lb of dye fixer, and premeasured red, blue and yellow dye. Even though the kit comes with only three dyes you can combine dye to create more colors just as you would with paints. The Jacquard tie dye kit is parents choice recommended as a great activity for all of the family to do together! This

is also a wonderful activity to bring home around easter time so you can create tie dye shirts as well as tie dye eggs! The great part about tie dye is that even adolescents who really hate family activities come together to see what kind of artsy color combinations they can put together. Tie dying is also a wonderful way to teach your younger family members about the creation of colors from primary colors!

The Jacquard Tie Dye Kit is available from multiple online stores, you can price match a few of these online retailers at Amazon.com !

We used this same kit to make shirts for our family. Picked it up at our local Rag Shop before it went out of business. (We’re one of those “matching” families you see walking down main street at Disney World!) There’s 5 of us, and we really needed two kits, so some of the shirts came out with too much white on them. We discovered, too, that it’s best not to tie the shirts too tightly, otherwise you also end up with too much white. But we all enjoyed the activity and the shirts we made.
